The below identifies all the requirements of coaching through the Brentwood Ball Club program for the Spring 2015 season. This info appears on the link for 2015 Spring Softball. Only item #4 is a new requirement for 2015.
Coach Requirements:
(1) All head coaches & assistant coaches are to complete concussion training prior to February 22, 2015. This is an insurance requirement and is a requirement by the City of Brentwood. Last year, we had coaches complete, scan and return the concussion training document back to the club. This year we are asking coaches to complete that document online, which should be an improvement. All coaches would log into their account on our website and create a participant record. Then, they would click the red Register Now box and select to register for "Concussion Awareness Completion for 2015". Once they click the box, there are nine clicks of Yes or No. You only create a participant record once.
(2) All head coaches & assistant coaches to complete a background check every three years. This is an insurance company requirement. If you are a new coach or have coached last year but did not complete one, we will need you to complete.

(3) All head coaches & assistants are to create a volunteer record. This occurs when you are registering your player. Just click the volunteer tab. We capture shirt sizes as part of the Volunteer entries. As well, you can add your volunteer record after registering your player by logging into your account and clicking the volunteer tab.
(4) All head coaches in any division to register as a head coach for their team in the system. Head Coaches would log into their account, create a participant record for themselves if they do not have one and then click the red Register Now box. They will see the three choices - softball, baseball recreation division and baseball travel division. Coaches can do this and the volunteer record and register your players all at the same time. This record will allow recreation/draft baseball division coaches to identify their desired team name from a list of populated names in the system. Softball coaches will identify their desired team colors. Head coaches can edit this record after registering so those that did not enter team name choices or shirt colors can still do that. When practice slots are identified, we will ask coaches to go in and update their record with selections
