Play-up policy

WCSA's Outdoor and Indoor Play Up Policy

There will be a *$25 non-refundable play-up fee for those wishing to play one birth year older than their true age. This fee will be charged every season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) you wish to play in an older age division. 

The request to play-up is for one season at a time with no guarantee of receiving your coach or player/friend request. The form and request will have to be completed every separate season you wish to play-up. Play-up is not an automatic from one season to the next. This includes returning players from Fall to Spring.

This rule applies to both outdoor and indoor seasons. If you are in a combined age group, for the child’s safety, the younger birth year you will stay in the combined age division when requesting to play-up.

Combined Age Groups:

Your player will only be moved when the $25 non-refundable service charge is paid. No payments will be accepted after registration deadline. If you forget to pay, your child will be placed on a team in their true birth year. Once you pay and are placed in the desired age group, you will remain in that age division for the entire season regardless of whether your requests are met or not. (This includes coach and player/friend requests.)

*Effective Fall 2026, a $45 non-refundable play-up fee for those wishing o play one birthdate range older than their true age. This fee will be charged every season (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) you wish to play in an older age division. This is an additional cost to the season's price. Due to the change from the Birth Year Matrix to Calendar Birth Date Range, required by our governing bodies, additional steps must be taken before moving the player to the desired age group. The $25 non-refundable play-up fee will remain for the Summer 2026 Indoor Season.
